About Your Professional Development

STEPS TO FOLLOW FOR LPDC APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: 1. Complete an online submission through the LPDC website for PRE-approval at least one (1) week prior to the PD session for non college-bound courses and at least four (4) weeks prior to the PD session for college-bound courses (Summer PD and/or Beginning-of-the-Year in service days are to be submitted by the first Friday in October). 2. Send a copy of your transcripts/grades/certificates of attendance/etc... to LPDC for approval upon completion of the courses/sessions.

STEPS TO FOLLOW FOR BOARD APPROVAL OF COLLEGE COURSES: 1. Follow the steps outlined above for LPDC submissions. 2. Complete Professional Growth Application Forms and submit to the Superintendent at least four (4) weeks prior to attending course(s). 3. Begin courses upon Board approval. 4. Submit for reimbursement upon completion of coursework by following the guidelines and dates outlined in our Fort Frye Teachers’ Contract book.
